This page concerns the installation of custom mounting holes for The Kig Atelier masks. Additional mounting holes are available from OUR STORE.
The installation of custom mounting holes requires the following steps.
- Identify the intended accessory hole location.
- Drill a 2mm diameter hole into the shell at the mounting location.
- Use progressively larger drills until 10mm in diameter is reached.
- Sand the new hole on both sides of the shell and remove any debris.
- Adhere the custom mounting hole part to the shell with 2-part epoxy putty (See our recommendation in SOURCING FILLERS AND PAINTS.)
- Use the included clamping kit to keep the mounting hole aligned until the putty sets.
